What is Virtual Personal Training?
Our VPT program was created so that we could help clients in any location achieve their fitness goals. It has many parallels to in-person training as it includes a custom designed, individualized program, instruction on how to execute the program, nutrition coaching, accountability, regular check-ins, and ongoing support from your trainer. The only difference is that your trainer won’t be there “in person” during the actual workouts.
How does Virtual Personal Training Work?
The first step is client/trainer consultation via video chat where we discuss your past fitness experience (if any), health history, and assess your current fitness level. Once we know where you’ve been, and where you’re at, we discuss your goals so we know where we need to go. Armed with that information, and a few other key details about your personally, we can create your initial program.
Your program will be administered via an app that provides you with your workouts, detailed instructions on how to complete the workout, along with videos that demonstrate each exercise. There are trainer notes with additional explanation if required so you’re never left unsure of what to do or how to do it. As you’re completing a workout the app allows you to enter your weights and reps, along with any additional movements or notes you’ve entered, for review by your trainer.
Upon completion of your workout, your records will be available to your trainer who can make notes or comments.
In addition to the workout programming, you’ll be in regular communication with your trainer via email and/or text for questions, motivation, and accountability. You’ll also schedule periodic (weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly) video chats to talk to your trainer live so that we can keep you on track to reaching your goals.
How long are your Virtual Personal Training Programs?
The Sun House Fitness RPT programs start at 12 weeks and can run indefinitely. The longer we work with a client, the better we can help them achieve their goals, set new goals, and reach new heights. Our minimum is a 12 week program as that window affords you the opportunity to immerse yourself in the training, build a great foundation, and see real results.
While every person is different, the majority of our clients tend to stay with us long term for our expert guidance, motivation, and much needed accountability.
